Proteus Alarm Interface

Eagle Technology Visits AHR Show in Dallas

Harshad Shah, president of Eagle Technology was in Dallas earlier this week at the 2013 AHR EXPO. The AHR Expo drew over 25,000 visitors during the three day event. More than 1900 companies exhibited from around the globe, including Trane, who was celebrating their 100th anniversary. Eagle has worked with Trane and Trane dealers throughout the world for nearly a decade, and was happy to join in the anniversary celebration. For more information on the history of Trane, visit www.Trane.com/commercial.

The show also featured a Building Automation and Controls Showcase, which highlighted products from nearly 200 companies. Most notable was Lynxspring's introduction of SecureLYNX, which enhances security in building automation systems.  Other products included various analytics software packages, which, when connected to your Building Automation System, analyzes your building data and generates alarms, alerts and notifications of potential failures.

Eagle Technology's Proteus software currently integrates seamlessly with many Building Automation Software systems, offering work order generation based upon alarms and triggers. Eagle Technology is actively working on developing partnerships with many of these companies at the show to offer an even more complete Facility Management Solution to our customers. Watch for future announcements via our website, newsletter or social media posts.

Proteus Building Automation System Alarm Interface
With the ever-increasing complexity associated with today's automated buildings, the breakdown of critical systems is an increased risk to building and facility managers. Eagle Technology's Proteus Alarm Interface (PAI) can help. Providing continuous alarm vigilance via a direct interface to most Building Automation Systems (BAS) (supporting such popular standards as BACnet®), PAI automatically issues work orders based on alarms, events or equipment runtimes. The work order defines specific tasks and parts required to complete the job quickly and efficiently. Work orders may be sent via email or printer or sent directly to a technicians' mobile device or pager, informing them of alarm status and actions.

PAI provides one-of-a-kind integration with BAS environments to help facilities around the world achieve cost-effective maintenance management.
Benefits include:
  • Automated work order generation
  • Managed workloads to correspond with available manpower
  • Increased asset life
  • Enhanced response time
  • Reduction in paperwork and communications cost
